Summary:

Researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center have devised a method of attaching an enunciator system to an AGV which includes a transmitter mounted on the AGV having multiple, pre-programmable switches which allow for the AGV to transmit a specific audible/visual signal to alert a person of the specimen's arrival. After a predetermined amount of time, if the item is not removed, then the AGV will continue along its route to return again to its specified location and transmit an alarm once more.
