Pluronic formulations for biomedical applications
Polymer materials are used extensively for biomedical applications. However, their use on nanoscale is still a field with much of its potential uncovered. Researchers from Center for Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine, a world-renowned center with expertise in nanoscale formulation of polymers for pharmaceutical applications, developed a technologies portfolio for use of Pluronic block co-polymers in nanoscale therapeutic formulations. Pluronic block co-polymers are capable of modifying the response of human body to drugs with which they are co-administered/formulated. This creates an array of new applications of known therapeutics with enhanced efficacy. The efficacy of these technologies has been proven for cancer and gene therapy.
