Animal Restraint Jacket
Researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center developed an improved animal restraint jacket designed to protect an implanted vascular catheter or other implanted device in the animal. The jacket is designed from a comfortable fabric and allows easy access to the implantable site without the use of metal zippers and without requiring the removal of the jacket. The design of the jacket protects the implanted area from infection and or tissue damage that may result in irritation for the animal. In addition, the jacket is fashioned in such a way that prevents the animal from biting and removing the implanted catheter.
