The Family Room and the University of Nebraska College of nursing are honored to present an intimate art showing featuring the compelling works of Eduardo Gardea. Eduardo’s Burden & Bloom collection explores the struggles\, resilience\, and beauty of caring for ourselves as we are called to care for others. Together we will honor everyone who continues to support our mission of creating more healing moments for families experiencing critical care. \nIntimate Art Showing\nHave the opportunity to view a never-before-seen collection from Omaha\, NE artist Eduardo Gardea. This series emerges from the raw honesty of human struggle—born during a season when he found himself “pouring from a cup that was empty and seemingly out of reach.” These powerful works capture the universal experience of giving when we have nothing left to give\, a reality intimately familiar to anyone who has cared for others. \nLive Musical Performance\nBe moved by the elegant sounds of a UNO jazz ensemble. These talented musicians will create an atmosphere of reflection and connection\, setting the perfect mood for an evening of shared experience and community. \nHealing Conversation\nEnjoy thoughtfully curated light hors d’oeuvres and connect with fellow attendees over a locally curated selection of tea. The event will encourage attendees to share each other’s burdens for an evening as we all bloom together. \nSupport Family Caregivers\n63\,715 families face ICU overwhelm\, every day. Familyroom.health is a free resource aimed at creating more healing moments for those families.
