Tech Transfer Bootcamp

In response to increased interest in its internship program, UNeMed has developed a week-long, interactive training camp to help prepare participants for a career in technology transfer.

The program is designed to provide practical guidance that will give participants a comprehensive understanding of technology transfer and the skills needed to pursue a career in the field of research commercialization.

Admission to the short course is based on the strength of the application including: academic accomplishments, career interests, and enthusiasm for technology innovation and commercialization.

Individuals from throughout the University of Nebraska system are encouraged to apply. All graduate students and postdocs that wish to apply must have a research adviser that is supportive of the time commitment away from the lab and the student’s alternative career interests.

Cost is free for people affiliated with the University of Nebraska, but space is limited. For those not affiliated with the University of Nebraska, cost is $200 per person. An application is required for anyone wishing to attend, regardless of affiliation.

Questions regarding the Boot Camp can be directed to unemed@unmc.edu.
